House approves breakthrough housing bill in a win for investors Link

  • The bill stops major institutional investors with over 350 single-family homes from purchasing more existing houses, but it still permits them to build new ones.

  • It won backing from the housing and construction industries after lawmakers dropped a Senate rule that would have forced these big investors to sell off their newly built rental units within seven years.

These States Are Bracing for a Home Insurance Surge During Super El Niño Link

Your business has grown. Is your accounting on the same path?

When you started out, doing your own books made sense. But the business you're running today isn't the one you started. If your accounting hasn't kept pace, it's quietly costing you — outdated financials, no clear view of what's actually profitable, and hours every week pulled away from the work that grows your business. At BELAY, our Financial Experts integrate directly into your business. They manage your books, reconcile accounts, run payroll, and deliver the timely insight you need to make big decisions with confidence. Stop guessing. Start knowing.

Home Prices Grew Year-Over-Year in Nearly Half of Opportunity Zones Link

  • Median single-family home and condo prices increased year-over-year in 44.6% of the analyzed Opportunity Zone census tracts during the first quarter of 2026.

  • Around 30.8% of these zones actually saw double-digit price growth compared to the same time last year, slightly outpacing the 28.6% rate seen in neighborhoods outside the zones.

  • Even with this growth, homes in these areas remain much more affordable, with only about 21% of the tracts meeting or exceeding the national median home price of $360,000.

Report: Commercial real estate companies have installed over 1 GW of solar across US Link

  • Data shows the American real estate sector has passed 1.086 gigawatts of on-site solar power across more than 2,150 projects.

  • Industrial property giant Prologis holds the largest solar setup with nearly 311 megawatts, while Public Storage holds the second spot with 111 megawatts.

  • Community solar makes up over 21% of this total capacity because large, unused warehouse roofs are perfect for feeding power directly back to local grids.
