TENANT SCREENING IS DIFFERENT

Treat tenant screening as a separate, high-consequence system.

HUD guidance states that the Fair Housing Act applies to rental-housing screening that uses machine learning and other forms of AI. It recommends transparency about what technology does, what records it uses, and how criteria, standards, and weights shape decisions.
